GIS5050: Module 6 - Network Analysis and Spatial Statistics Lab

This Lab Introduced me to 3D data and LIDAR which I have not worked with thus far. The key learning outcomes included georeferencing images of UWF, Digitizing new polygons and line features using editing, hyperlinking photos in Arc GIS, preforming a multiple ring buffer, and and overlaying data in a 3D scene.

Georeferencing the images of UWF was a semi challenging and engaging part of this lab. I took the longest amount of time georeferencing the Heritage Hall Parcel Survey. Figuring out where to place control points was a challenge at first and it took some time to learn which layer was the known and which was the unknown. Now that I completed the steps I believe I could do it in future projects and it is A extremely useful tool I will be able to use to my advantage. Creating the hyperlink was very simple and is a step I will be able to incorporate into future projects easily. Using the Multiple ring buffer again was good practice and I am becoming a-lot more familiar and confident with the buffer tools. Creating the 3D scene was a first for me and a skill I can hopefully gain more confidence in for future projects. Overall, this lab was very productive and I both learned new skills and practiced old ones.
